When World War II ended, the Vatican had egg all over its face. Pope Pius XII, after building the Nazi war machine, saw Hitler losing his battle against Russia, and he immediately jumped to the other side as he saw the handwriting on the wall. General Eisenhower saved his neck. Pope Pius XII should have stood before the judges in Nuremburg. His war crimes were worthy of death. But the Vatican was pulling every string she could, and Pope Pius XII came out smelling like a rose.       Too many people knew that the Vatican was responsible for World War II so it was time for a face lift. Hollywood, influenced by a powerful Catholic lobby, furnished us with films like Song of Bernadette and Going My Way, and a number of exciting films glorifying the Catholic faith. On the other hand, they pushed movies like Elmer Gantry showing crooked Protestant evangelists. Do you remember Dragnet? on television? The Christian was always pictured with a big Bible, smiling after he had strangled Grandma up in the attic. And always, the priests were the good guys. Himmler's _title_ as supreme chief of the S.S. was to be the equivalent of the Jesuits' 'General' and the whole structure was a close imitation of the Catholic Church's hierarchical order.       Franz von Papen, another powerful Nazi, who was instrumental in setting up the concordat between Germany and the Vatican had this to say: The Third Reich is the first world power which not only acknowledges but also puts into practice the high principles of the papacy. If you are not aware of what a concordat is, a concordat is an agreement between the Vatican and a government. As far as the Vatican is concerned, that government that signed the concordat has now become a part of the government of God, and the Vatican fully intends to stabilize that government, give it divine protection, and give it international protection. By 1933 he was the Vatican Secretary of State. If Pope Pius XII did put out an encyclical opposing Nazism, then it was probably part of the vatican cover-up that the vatican planned to use if Hitler lost the war. In 1933, Pope Pius XII, (cardinal Pacelli) signed a concordat document supporting Hitler's Nazi party Government. Ex-Jesuit priest Alberto Rivera, said that the Jesuits always plan for a propaganda cover-up, of some sort, just in case their plans fail. This way they can deny any involvement in something that they did, and they can come out smelling like a rose. The vatican hid 1000 catholic Jews, (catholics of Jewish descent) at the vatican for the duration of the war. This was a propaganda ploy so that they could say that they also helped the Jews if Hitler lost the war. The vatican ordered Hitler to destroy non-catholic Jews; these are the ones killed in the holocaust. Wealthy European Jews, at that time, were trying to make a deal with England, to buy Jerusalem and sections of palestine. The Vatican wanted Jerusalem, because Christianity started there. So the Vatican ordered the European Jews to be destroyed, in another inquisition - the holocaust - to stop them from buying Jerusalem and palestine.
