Hey, I bought a pair of Danner Big Horn boots.  About one week into wearing them (around the house), they developed a popping noise in the sole of the right boot.  Danner says it might be the shank.  WTF?  Does this sound right? Danner makes some of the best boots around, I would expect better quality. Has anyone else had this experience?  Is it really the shank or what?
