Hi, I'm actually pretty nuts about the M16 A1/A2 rifle and I'd like to buy a full size airsoft rifle. Since I'm not going to be a very busy shooter, I'm trying to limit the cost. However... A spring single shot M16 will just kill the fun, after all, the M16 is semi/auto. So I'm looking for something that just shoots when pulling the trigger, no pulling handles, reloading etc. I've searched a bit and came to the conclusion, all the AEG rifles are pretty much around 280/300Eur. The single shot rifle is only 110Eur. I haven't really found any gas (CO2) m16's. What is the price on those ? Can anyone help me finding a cheap semi/auto M16? I live in continental Europe. Thanks, Webhead

Can anyone help me finding a cheap semi/auto M16? Consider that if you could buy a real Colt AR-15 in select fire they currently run about $5,600 USD, the airsoft replica's, albeit way less deadly and way less powerful, are a bargain... So it's not really a thing of justifying the 400$, it's more like : can I get anything that's cheaper and is not single shot. So I'm talking airgun brands, price ranges, perhaps somebody selling ? Well if it's the full auto effect you want rather than full realism, and perhaps a bit of tryit before plunking down the big green on the $400 model, I'd look at one of the mini electrics. They are no where near anything real looking but at about $40-50 you can get into the airsoft sport and give it a whirl. The expensive replica AEG's mostly came about from being Hollywood gun doubles , that is no studio is gonna let some yahoo actor loose with the real thing on set. From far away and moderately close up the AEG looks like the real deal. Extremely close up there are enough differences that the weapons experts in the theater could tell 'em apart... Anyway, for a cheap intro to the airsoft fun look at the mini's. The sellers call them charictures in that they resemble the weapon they're patterned after in a weirdly shaped kinda way... And yeah I've noticed the mini's... but that doesn't look like an M16 at all, it looks like a midget's gun... exactly as they call it a charicature of the real deal. But again it's an inexpensive foot wetter into the airsoft game and better that than spending the $$$ and finding out you don't like it. Used stuff is very depreciated from new pricing...
