Well, it's not paintball, that's for sure. I got started in this game over a decade ago after using airsoft. We used to use them indoors (in a video arcade in a shopping mall after hours). We tried in the woods a time or two but that wasn't very fun, since they really had no range. I have seen where the airsoft guns have improved a lot since then,  but I still don't think they have the broad capabilities of paintball. They don't mark your opponent, which can lead to a lot of useless arguments about who hit who. It's sort of like playing laser tag with a sting to it.  I know there are a lot of people whole like airsoft for mil-sim type events because the guns simulate real weapons, but as a game I think paintball is far superior.  just my opinion.
