As we all know since Friday the shit has hit the proverbial fan with ground troops in Afghanistan.Last I heard this morning on FOX News the fighting was within 100 yards. As you know we lost some of our boys but took down over 100 to 200 enemy fighters.Probably more by now. My thought is,Giving the conditions, rocky mountain terrain,20 degree temperatures with snow plus close quarter combat how do you think the M16 (or ammo for that matter) will hold up compared to the AK's under those circumstances.I'm sure the true reports will be coming back with the troops in the future. Foot note

o much for those that said the infantry trooper is a thing of the past and obsolete. Me deepest sympathies and gratitude for our esteemed lost warriors. Ray, (Si vis pacem, para bellum) U.S.A.
