# What's the story with air soft? Seems to be big in places where real guns are # banned. I have heard of Air soft tactical teams? Are people playing close # quarters battle with the air soft guns? # # Snipe I own two airsoft pistols, one's a repro of a colt 1911, the other is something like an mp5. Believe me, these are more like children's toys AFAIK. For $20 out of cheaper than dirt you can get a full-auto battery powered gun. The cheap ones are no good for practice, as they're unrealistic (my 1911 is way too light, only the trigger works and you have to rack the slide for each round) and I could sh- in a bucket and call it better accuracy than I've gotten from either of my guns. The one fun part of them is that they sting a little when you get hit and it's damned near impossible to put an eye out with one, so as far as CQB they're pretty fun the first few times. On the other hand, there is an upscale version of the airsoft. I've a cousin who got a very cool glock 18c (the full auto one, at least, if I'm wrong on the model number) that's powered by inert gas. His is a little nicer, as the sights are adjustable, but accuracy is still pretty terrible. And, for the $200 he paid, why not get a shotgun? Heck, ANY real gun? Bottom line, IMHO.. not worth the money. Molon lave -Jordan
