Calling all motorcyle fans, I have some questions about the IMEX US Army Harley-Davidson kit. What is this kit supposed to be depicting? The Box says that it is a 1980 FLH, but I have a hard time believing it. Were US Army Harleys really this austere in 80 (no farings, no mirrors, one headlamp, no turn indicators) or is this some sort of special commemorative issue bike by Harley depicted in the kit. Are those supposed to be leather dispatch pouches? Anyway, I need the kit for a commercial project. I need to pound it into a reasonable facsimile of a Highway patrol bike ca. 1955; just enough to fool the very casual observer, since it will be backround window dressing. Are there there any good references on these? I want to make it sort of generic, since it would be better not to imply that the scene I am depicting is happening in any particular state; just along some western US highway. I suppose that I should place some sort of radio set on the rear fender. Also, this kit contains all the parts to put on additional lights and a clear plexiglass windscreen, although I am not exactly sure of which parts to use. If someone else has the instructions for one of the kits in this series, I would appreciate a xerox. I know that this must sound pretty slipshod, but it is really the desired effect. Given this, any reccomendations? Thanks, Tom Lundy
