Surfed their site the other day, worth a look, they make very nice products, good prices. http://www.tacticaltailor.com/backpacks.htm I really like their 'CAR Pack':     The Car-Pak was designed to discretely transport a Car-15 rifle.     The pack has a padded divider that separates and protects the      rifle. Four tie downs hold the upper and lower receivers securely     in place. The pack has two padded outside pockets for smaller     items. The shoulder straps are .75 thick for maximum comfort.     All pockets close with heavy duty YKK zipper with dual slides.     Available in OD or Black. Capacity 2000 cu.in. Available by     special order only. This looks just like a standard everyday common backpack, but it will hold a CAR-15.  I think this would be a better choice for carry then a standard Look-I-have-a-Gun! gun case.  If you really need a rifle it better be in your hands, but if your just passing though and want to keep a low profile this pack may be a good choice.  It looks as though it has at least two outer pockets and a large inner compartment, plus the rifle compartment.  Maybe another good choice for a small bug-out bag... Worth a look, hell your paying for your internet account anyway, give them a look.  They are good people, I've meet them and talked to them, former US Army Rangers, _base_d out of Washington State, so they know their stuff, not to many people play Pack Mule's as well as Rangers.  If anyone can think of a new way to hump a load it will be the Rangers... Shit I was a Marine, we just stole our gear from the Army, but this stuff looks good.  Made in America and all that good shit.  They do lots of custom work too. Bill

It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to dis-assemble the rifle before you stashed it in the pack. For that matter, you could do the same thing with an outside pouch and hope and pray that you have time to assemble the rifle if/when you need it. Our Winter kits are large enough that we can stash a fully-assembled rifle in them (collapsible-stock AR's or the modified side-folding Galils (with barrels cut down to 16.2 with flash suppressors)) but without a magazine.  In the summer, we can attach the Blackhawk discreet carrying cases by straps to the outside. Much of the stuff seems to be basically copied off the Eagle and Blackhawk lines.  I do like their Tailor Pack and if they end up offering the bottom half in camo, I may end up buying one for my summer kit (their top-pack is the exact same size as Eagle & Blackhawk's 3-day packs which I already own). Check out this site too: http://www.londonbridgetrading.com/ They offer a lot of different stuff, some LBE on steroids, LBE with built in floatation down to some nice small items. Some more neat stuff.  It gives me even more things to consider as I continue to upgrade! Geoffrey L.
