I've had several pair of them issued to me over the years. They are very comfortable but IMO If I had to buy them for the the $200+ I'd just get tennis shoes instead. That's all they are anyway, adidas tennis shoes with a leather upper. Remember these aren't authorized for daily wear and no one in his right mind would wear them as field boots. They're only good for one thing.

I've had a bunch of different boots - Hi Techs, jungle boots etc etc. My favorite pair (regardless of where they're authorized to wear) are my desert boots. They're the most comfortable boots I've ever had (and pretty worn out by now. Gotta order a new pair). Second to them would be my jungle boots. Don't waste your money on a super-duper cool looking pair of boots - go with something that's comfy AND functional.

Jarno,    The desert boots are the famous Schwartzkopf boots from Desert Storm. They are made of a suade like leather with a beige condura side. They also have a wicking material inside. There's also no drainage vents on the desert boots...    Yes, they are pretty nice, but as a 10th MTN (LI) 11B, REALLY like the Rocky Matterhorns... the Matterhorns were my favorite boot! -Tom (24 Hour take home test today!
