A couple months ago, I got a new pair of Corcoran jump boots from US Cavalry. Fairly early on, I noticed that the right one makes a sort of clicking noise whenever I take a step. Also, I can feel it clicking with my foot, if that makes any sense. It seems to be coming from under my foot, in the sole or the heel. I get the feeling there's something in there flexing, producing a kind of Snapple-bottle-cap effect. The left boot is fine. Anyway, it's starting to annoy more than I'd thought it would. My idea so far is to take a hammer and have a good whack or twenty at the sole, to try to tighten up any nails or adhesive that might be loose. The soles are held on by stitching and brass nails, and the heels by just nails. If the hammer doesn't work, I can't think of anything else, short of a professional shoe repair place. Anyone ever have this problem, and find a good solution? -JeanCroix
