I have an airsoft electric Colt XM177E2 (M16 variant) manufactured by Tokyo Marui that shoots 5 groups at 75 feet, and it chronos at 280 fps. It runs on an 8.4V rechargeable nicad. I've also got a toy 1:3 scale MP5 that runs on 4 AA batteries which performs nowhere near as well but is still fun to shoot. Airsoft performance varies greatly depending on power source (electric, gas, or single-shot spring), barrel length, hop-up (backspin mechanism), and cost. Expect a full-auto electric airsoft replica from Tokyo Marui to cost at least $300, plus battery and charger ($75). ...
