Alright, enough of this babble.  I second the motion to start a alt.sport.airsoft newsgroup.  Airsoft is a growing hobby.  Even though we get 2.5 or 3.5 or whatever.5 posts a day, there will come a time when there will be dozens of postings, or even hundreds of postings a day.  .  I started playing airsoft eleven months ago, when there were three websites and two places to buy airsoft guns.  Now there are dozens of team sites, hundreds of information sites, and you can buy a airsoft spring gun or minigun at any military surplus store, paintball store or corner liquor store (not true, just a joke)* Let's start a group now, and leave the paintball groups alone.  Even though airsoft can fire 6mm paintball bbs, they are still classified as AIR GUNS, so any postings about airsoft clearly do not belong in paintball newsgroups. There doesn't need to be a hatred amongst paintballers and airsofters. You can pick one sport, or pick both. Neither one is better or more fun.  It's all personal preferences, okay? Second, stop making fun of each other, stop poking each other, and stop harassing each other.  If you want paintball and airsoft to be portrayed as a mature sport in the eyes of the media and general public, STOP ACTING like 12 year-old punk kids (not that all 12 year olds are punks).  Grow up and show your maturity in your postings.   It's the only way another person can make an impression of you.  Either you're a rash, calm individual who knows what you're talking about, or you're some hot-headed irrational fool who's just babbling. Calling each other names and threatening to beat them up will dodiddley squat except provoke others, and we end up with dozens of threads of name-calling.  Is that what you want your newsgroup to be reduced to? If anybody who knows DIRECTLY how to start a newsgroup, please let us know. And everyone who's been posting about airsoft in this newsgoup, please join me in alt.config to lobby (?) for our own newsgroup.  And feel free to email me any (intelligent) questions, queries or insults.  Please no flames.
